Last night we were joined by Arthur Torrington, co founder of the Windrush Foundation & musician Alexander D Great tonight for music & a discussion on the life of Sam King, credited with having devised the idea of a Windrush Day.

We were treated to a taste of Alexander D Great at last night's Conversation & Calypso tribute to the late Sam King who travelled to the UK on the HMT Windrush & set in motion, the idea for a Windrush Day. The music was followed by Arthur Torrington, who lead the discussion on the life of Sam King and retold the story of the life of the man who set in motion the idea for a Windrush Day. He also unveiled a book produced on Sam by the Windrush Foundation.
