Fran is one of the two directors of Voices of Windrush.

I was delighted that Jacqui invited me to become a joint Director of Voices of Windrush with her at the end of 2022.

 I have been working with clients who want to make applications to the Windrush Compensation scheme, either for status documents, or for compensation for some time within Jacqui’s team.  I have attended legal clinics and also community organisations to listen to the histories of the people to whom the scheme is aimed.  The histories are always full of wonderful  achievements against adversity and struggle, but point towards the need to give Voice to discussion alongside cultural Voice in art, music, theatre and spoken word.  I am proud to assist in bringing forward the on-going Voices of generations of those who have Caribbean heritage, and ensure they are heard.
